Most manga conform to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century, and the form has a long history in earlier Japanese art. The term manga is used in Japan to refer to comics and cartooning. Carmichael Library

The Carmichael Library is a community-focused Sacramento Public Library branch offering tech access, printing/scanning, a reservable meeting room, and a Seed Library—plus multilingual collections that support a wide range of neighbors and families.

A Quick Bit of History

Carmichael’s library story began in 1922 as a small county library station, later growing into a true public library with a brick building at Marconi & Clark in 1939. The current shared building at 5605 Marconi Avenue opened in 1964, followed by expansions and renovations—most notably a major remodel in 2006 that added a teen area, a children’s tower, and new meeting rooms.
